Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP) Updates for Discharges

Every year there are updates to SCIP to focus on evidence-based practices that improve clinical outcomes for surgical patients. In 2012, several important changes have been added to SCIP which will begin affecting patients toward the end of 2011. OE Orders

Want to save yourself some time signing OE orders?  Sign your OE orders in Meditech before the patient is discharged or within 48 hours of discharge and you will only have to sign them in Meditech.  Otherwise you will have to sign them in both Meditech and hCare.  So save yourself some time and steps by signing them right away.

Clinical Review Update Begins December 15
