News from IT:

The long-awaited provider documentation templates will be placed into our Meditech system and available to you in early February. The templates were developed by active physicians, enterprise-wide with the intent to make them user-friendly and meet all practice and regulatory standards.  They are in use currently in several Florida facilities (Wave 1 sites).

A plan to help providers convert from the old to the new has been developed with a goal for completion by the end of March.  The IT Team will be contacting physicians soon to arrange for this update. 

PDoc is returning to the Emergency Department:   The official project kick off meeting will be held on-site in conjunction with the PAG meeting on Wednesday, February 1st.  We are excited to bring the new corporate ED documentation templates to Spotsylvania and have our ED providers transition from paper to electronic documentation.  Training is slated to begin in February with a Go Live date of Tuesday, March 13, 2012.  Stay tuned for more information as we will continue to provide updates through Go Live.

More good news….  Stedman’s Medical Dictionary has been loaded into Meditech and is now available for spell checking.  And finally, the re-initialization of Clinical Review is now complete. This effort has resulted in a very robust display of information in all panels of Clinical Review.
