Emerging Leader Program at SRMC—taking leadership to the next level

Spotsylvania Regional has kicked off the first year of our Emerging Leader program, which provides the opportunity for a small group of staff to learn more about becoming a leader, championing a cause and understanding our community and HCA.  During the course of the program, from September 2012 to May 2013, each Emerging Leader will support a volunteer project for the community, engaging Spotsy colleagues in that cause or event.  The first team of seven Emerging Leaders are from six different departments in the hospital and have been paired with a Senior Leader mentor who they meet with monthly to guide them through their leadership journey.  To date, our community speakers have included the Spotsylvania Superintendent of Schools, a reporter from the Free LanceStar, VP of Workforce Development at Germanna Community College and administrators from the University of Mary Washington.
