SRMC to be designated Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive GYN – COEMIG

JOhnsOn September 13, Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center underwent a site inspection to become a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gyn surgeries (COEMIG).  According to the AAGL, COEMIG designees champion “the most effective diagnostic and therapeutic techniques that are providing less invasive treatments for gynecologic conditions through the integration of clinical practice, research, innovation and dialogue.” Continue reading ‘SRMC to be designated Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive GYN – COEMIG’

Spotsylvania Regional Cancer Center and VCU Massey Partner to Provide Radiation Therapy

_DSC4646The radiation oncology department at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center is  a joint venture between Hospital Corporations of America(HCA)  and the VCU Massey Cancer Center.  The staff of the department is composed of a physician and physics staff, who are faculty members of VCU-Massey, and administrative,  nursing, therapy and secretarial staff, who are employed by HCA. Both  institutions are known for their commitment to high quality medical care.  VCU-Massey is the area’s only NCI designated cancer center. The interaction of the staff is seamless. It also provides an opportunity for patients to check the wait time in the ER and use the iNotify link that alerts the Spotsylvania Regional emergency department that they are on their way.
